Status

Native to the western Palaearctic. Introduced into the U.S. and released into Virgina, where it is established and spreading. A disjunct adventive population in the northeast seems to predate the Virginia introduction (BugGuide).

Relationships

Preys on the Diaspididae scale insects (BugGuide).

Anthribus nebulosus is a species of fungus weevil, family Anthribidae.[1][2] It is found in Europe, Near East,[1] and Northern Asia (excluding China) and, as an introduced species, in North America.[2][3]: 278
