Checklist

This page allows you to get a list of species in Maryland by filter. The filters are located in the light blue filter bar above. Choose any of the filters to get started. To learn more about how to use the filters, follow the instructions below.

Example Use Cases

• County Species List

  In the filter bar, click Location. Under Filter by county, choose the desired county. The page will start loading the list.

• Species List by Category

  In the filter bar, click Category. There are dropdown menus for you to choose from any number of popular categories. If you don't see the category you want, you can type in the category where you see Enter a category. Once you start typing, autocomplete will try to look for the category you are looking for. Select the category from the autocomplete popup. The page will start loading the list.

• Species List by Taxa

  In the filter bar, click Taxa. Type the desired taxa in its respective input box. Once you start typing, autocomplete will try to look for the taxa you are looking for. Select the taxa from the autocomplete popup. The page will start loading the list.

There are many more filters to choose from. You can filter in any combination by clicking or entering more filters. To get rid of specific filters, click the x on the dark blue badge that pops up. To start over, click on Checklist at the top (very very top!) of the page.
