Status

"This species was introduced from Europe sometime around 1911. It has been spreading in the Northeastern United States ever since. In the North American population the parthenogenetic females reproduce without the need for males" (Richard Orr).

Trigoniophthalmus alternatus is a species of jumping bristletail in the family Machilidae. It is found in Europe and Northern Asia (excluding China) and North America.[1][2][3]
