The Ring-necked Snake is a docile, harmless snake found throughout the state. They are among our most common snakes, and can sometimes be found at high densities in high-quality habitat. That said, they are infrequently encountered unless actively sought out under rocks and logs.
They are nocturnal hunters that feed on invertebrates, frogs, salamanders, and other small snakes.
There are 418 records in the project database.
