Status
There is some disagreement about the proper naming of this species and invasion history in the US. However, it is certainly non-native on the East Coast and to our knowledge this is the farthest up the Bay it has been reported and the first Maryland record. (R. Aguilar/SERC).

A Synidotea laevidorsalis/laticauda collected in Anne Arundel Co., Maryland (12/17/2014). According to Rob Aguilar, this was the farthest it has been recorded up the Chesapeake Bay and the first Maryland record. Measured 19 mm.
