A Butternut Woollyworm larva on Black Walnut in Howard Co., Maryland (9/10/2013). Richard states, "The Butternut Woolyworm (Eriocampa juglandis) is a sawfly (a wasp with caterpillar-like lava). The "naked larva" with the flock removed is pictured in the upper right hand corner."
