Status
This species was originally known as Rectofrontia fraterna Baker, 1895. That taxon, now Rhadinopsylla fraternal (Baker, 1895), is restricted to specimens occurring west of the Mississippi River (Smit, 1957). The Maryland record is one male found on a Microtus pennsylvanicus (Ord, 1815) collected in Kensington in 1924. Little is known about this rarely collected flea. (Eckerlin, 2011)
