Coelioxys dolichos collected on Assateague Island National Seashore, Maryland (2007). It is a nest parasite that targets Megachile xylocopoides, a leaf-cutting bee species. Richard Orr collected this first specimen north of North Carolina.

Coelioxys dolichos is a species of bee in the family Megachilidae.[1][2][3] It has been reared from a nest of the species Megachile xylocopoides. [4]
