An abundant Andrena, often found in lawns and disturbed field like situations.

Description

The males are as generic as they come but have a tiny point coming out of their integument on either side of the underside of their thorax. (S. Droege, pers. comm.)

The bumped miner bee[1] (Andrena nasonii) is a species of miner bee in the family Andrenidae.[2][3][4][5] Another common name for this species is the Nason's andrena. It is found in Central America and North America.[2] It is a generalist, collects pollen from many different plants.
