Endangered by habitat loss, woody succession of barrens habitat and poor protection status of several populations (MD DNR). Populations in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Montgomery, Prince George's, and Talbot Counties are all extirpated (MD DNR).

Where To Find

Sandy fields and roadsides, inland sand dune and ridge woodlands (MD DNR).
