Status

Eastern Ommatius ouachitensis from Montgomery County (at Plummers Island), and adjacent Fairfax Co., Virginia, may constitute a disjunct eastern locality. The core of the species' range lies in the midwest* (Bullington & Lavigne, 1984; Bedell, 2010). Habitat given as forest edges (Bullington & Lavigne, 1984). (Note-The species has been tentatively recorded from Baltimore Co. in 2013. Its range is thus likely more extensive than is presently known).
