Status

This species and other Leptogaster are small, slender robber flies with long abdomens and long legs. The details of coloration of the legs are often important for specific identification. Leptogaster flavipes, as its name might suggest, has mostly yellowish legs, without the strong banding of several congeners (Norm Lavers' robber fly site).
