Description

Species of the genus Lepiota have a white spore print and grow on soil. Confident species identification of Lepiota (and related fungi) generally requires microscopic examination of spores and the spore-producing structures. Similar-looking fungi include some species of Agaricus, Amanita, Chlorophyllum, and Macrolepiota.
