Status

The caterpillar initially creates a linear-blotch mine on skullcap leaves. The caterpillar exits the mine and feeds in a leaf shelter formed by tying the the leaf edges together (Eiseman, 2021: 1479). Mines and shelters of the species should be looked for on its host plants in Maryland.

Relationships

Larval host plants include Mad-dog Skullcap and Marsh Skullcap (Eiseman, 2021).
