Status

Historically, the name Hydnoporia corrugata was applied to this species. However, it now appears that H. corrugata is restricted to Europe and H. diffissa is found in Eastern North America (Miettinen et al., 2019).

Description

Glue Crust Fungus forms reddish or grayish brown patches on hardwood branches and logs. The crust grows flat to the wood but and pore surface may appear to have warts or short wrinkles but the not bands.
