Status

Found scattered or in groups on ground; in moss or humus in damp hardwoods or conifer forests.

Description

Cap: Brownish-gray (wet) to buff (dry); convex with central hump (sometimes a central depression); silky to dry; margin faintly striate (wet); flesh white to gray. Gills: White to gray, pink in age; almost free; close. Stalk: White, hollow, white mycelium at base. (J. Solem, pers. comm.)
