Status

Documented very close to Maryland and expected to occur in the state. Referenced in a 1953 paper on Eulimnadia clam shrimp in Maryland. Collected by Eric Tuttle in a temporary pool between Chain Bridge and Georgetown, D.C. on 7/18/1950 (Mattox, 1953).

Description

Darker and more robust than similar clam shrimp species (B. Norden, pers. comm.).

Where To Find

Look for clam shrimp in summer and fall in very transient water bodies, occasionally in rain-filled puddles and even tire ruts (B. Norden, pers. comm.).
