Description

Cap: Tiny; pink-purplish/reddish-brown; convex; pleated; covered with tiny granules. Gills: Pale, similar to cap; distant; often with a collar. Stalk: Color of cap; base with a few white hairs; base inserted into bark. Shrivels under dry conditions; revives when wet (J. Solem, pers. comm.).

Where To Find

Scattered/groups near base of standing deciduous/coniferous tree, often in moss.
