Status

A common grass species and agricultural pest (BugGuide, 2015).

Description

"Easily recognized by having a pair of black spots on the head; a pair on the pronotum; and a pair on the base of the scutellum. Has an even more recognizable nymph, which has brown stripes down the sides" (K.G.A. Hamilton/BugGuide, 2015).
