Status

Uncommon. Flies mostly late April through October in Maryland.

Description

Identifiable with care from photos. Similar to Toxomerus marginatus and Toxomerus geminatus. Can be distinguished from the latter by the lack of a thick black border on the posterior margin of tergite 3.

Relationships

Larvae feed on aphids.
