Status

In Maryland, this species is known from a single cave in Garrett Co. This and a nearby location in West Virginia represent the northern limit of the species' known range. "Summarized by Lewis (2009, 2010) and Fong et al. (2009) this species occurs primarily in caves from southwestern Virginia through eastern West Virginia, to Garrett Co., Maryland" (Lewis, 2011).
