Found in clusters on the ground in hardwood forests.

Description

Cap: White, dry, smooth; broadly convex, flattened, depressed disc in age; inrolled margin may become ridged in age; flesh white. Gills: Whitish to pale pinkish-buff in age; crowded. Stalk: White or like cap, bruises gray or light brown, smooth, cottony at base; equal or tapers up (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
