Striped Blennies are especially fond of oyster beds, but can also be found in patches of eelgrass. Although common in the middle and lower Chesapeake Bay, they are secretive and not easily detected.
Feeds on small crustaceans and mollusks. Preyed upon by larger fish such as bluefish and rockfish.
