Status

Seaside Grasshoppers are exquisitely camouflaged on sand, nearly vanishing into the background, unless they move or fly. This species is usually found at beaches, seashores, barrier islands, and sometimes in barren areas with extensive sand deposits. Seaside Grasshoppers normally go unnoticed until they flush underfoot, revealing yellow and black hindwings as they escape in flight.
