Description

Note the large expanded tarsal segments on the front legs of the male. These are used to hide the females eyes during mating. (S. Droege, pers. comm.)

Megachile latimanus, or the broad-handed leafcutter,[1] is a species of bee in the family Megachilidae.[2] It was described by Thomas Say in 1823.[2]
