Status
A widespread species, Stichopogon trifasciatus frequents sandy habitats, usually near water, like beaches, dunes, river/creek banks, or gravel pits. They prefer to alight directly on the substrate, rather than on vegetation or debris (Baker & Fischer, 1975).
