Description
This species is very similar to Fistulina hepatica but has smaller pores on the pore surface (7–8 pores per mm in Fistulina americana vs. 2–5 per mm in Fistulina hepatica). Fistulina americana also has basidiospores of smaller diameter.
Relationships
Fistulina americana grows on oaks (Quercus).
