Status:

Kirtland's Warbler is one of North America's rarest bird species, nesting only in young Jack Pine forests in northern Michigan and Wisconsin. It winters in the Bahamas and is rarely detected in migration. Ramsay Koury found Maryland's first at Swann Park in Baltimore City on 10/4/2021 and it was seen by hundreds of ecstatic observers in the coming days.
