No Common Name Ophidiomyces ophiodiicola Sigler, Hambleton & ParĂ© (2013)  Synonyms: Snake Fungal Disease.


Unfortunately, this is an emerging pathogen of wild and captive snakes in North America. No treatment is currently known.


Has been documented infecting Northern Water Snakes at SERC in Anne Arundel Co. (2014 and 2017) (Catesbania 38 (1):78-79).
