This is the complex page for Hesperomyces found on lady beetles. Based on the latest literature, when Hesperomyces is found on Asian Lady Beetle, it can be identified as Hesperomyces harmoniae. H. virescens sensu stricto is only found on Twice-stabbed Lady Beetle.
Relationships
Hesperomyces species appear to be very host-specific. These ectoparasites typically do not kill their hosts.
