Description
Cap: Yellowish-brown to yellowish-white with low, darker umbo; smooth; convex to nearly flat/slightly depressed center; white flesh. Gills: Whitish/pinkish, crowded. Stalk: Whitish; longitudinally grooved with dark fibers; may be slightly twisted; tapers up slightly (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
Where To Find
Solitary, scattered, groups on ground in hardwood/mixed forests (J. Solem, pers. comm.).
