Common on the Eastern Shore, often numerous in mixed pine and oak woods (L. Biechele, pers. comm.).

Description

Has a distinctive bitter-almond odor when fresh. The spore print, in contrast to most Russulas, is quite yellowish. (L. Biechele, pers. comm.)
