Seaside Alder in Wicomico Co., Maryland (6/17/2012). Rare and local throughout its range (G3) and state watch list species (S3.1). Note leaf shape and especially the relatively large size of the cones. Known from just three disjunct populations in Georgia, Oklahoma, and Maryland/Delaware.
