Awesome human Ron Gutberlet on a pelagic trip in Worcester Co., Maryland (8/16/2009). Our dear friend Ron (1966-2015) was an associate professor of biology at Salisbury University known for his expertise in herpetology and ornithology. The lichen Arthonia gutberletiana (Lendemer & Ray, 2017) was named to honor his contributions to Maryland conservation causes.
