Status:

There are two varieties of Pale False Mannagrass in Maryland. Both varieties are tracked by the Maryland Natural Heritage Program. Fernald's Mannagrass is only found in Garrett County and is considered a S1 (less than five population in the state) species. Pale Mannagrass is also rare (S3) and mostly found on the Coastal Plain.
