Jemicy School
Located on two campuses in the Owings Mills area of Baltimore County, Jemicy School serves over 300 students in grades 1-12 with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences. The school was founded in 1973 with a philosophy of hands-on, experiential learning, and classes take full advantage of diverse habitats available for environmental learning and discovery. The 23-acre Lower and Middle School campus, located in the Jones Falls watershed, has a small stream running through a wooded valley where children may play and explore. Four miles away, the 57-acre Upper School encompasses wooded wetlands drained by the Gwynns Falls River, with Irvine Nature Center's 116 acres in close proximity. Visit the Jemicy School web site.
