Relationships

Host plants are in the family Salicaceae (willows, poplars, cottonwoods). BugGuide notes that "larvae skeletonize leaves, while adults attack only midrib and large veins" and that the species was formerly considered a pest of commercial willows, which were grown for basket-making.
