Description:

A white, aphid-like insect seen on the twigs and needles of Eastern Hemlocks.

Relationships:

Major threat to Eastern Hemlocks. Flies in the genus Leucopis have been introduced in the East in hopes of controlling this invasive adelgid native to Japan.
