Fall Cankerworm Moth Alsophila pometaria (Harris, 1841)  Synonyms: Alsophila pometaria, Hodges #6258.

Status:

Adults are active in fall and early winter in woodlands, yards, and parks across much of North America. Although native, the larvae are considered a pest species of many deciduous trees and shrubs.

Description:

Females are wingless!
