Eastern Mosquitofish Gambusia holbrooki Girard, 1859  

Status:

A freshwater species native to the eastern U.S. Highly adaptable and rarely impacted by man-made disturbance. Widely introduced (and sometime considered invasive) worldwide. Bears live young.
