Walleye Sander vitreum (Mitchill, 1818)In need of conservation  Synonyms: Walleyed Pike.


Note white spot on the base of the tail, unspotted and cloudy spiny dorsal, and yellowish tint to body coloration to separate this species from the very similar Sauger (not recorded in Maryland) (J. Corcoran, pers. comm.).
