Status:

Native distribution includes Europe, Asia, and northern Africa. Broadleaf Helleborine has become naturalized across much of North America. Some states have labeled the plant as an invasive. In Maryland, Broadleaf Helleborine in more common in the mountainous counties. A recent record from Kent County on the Eastern Shore, may prove that the species is spreading.
