Showy Lady's Slipper Cypripedium reginae WatersExtirpated  

Status:

Considered extirpated. According to the Maryland Natural Heritage Program, there was only one known location in for Showy Lady's Slipper in Maryland. The location was a sphagnum seep located in Garrett County. The site was last observed by D.E. Redman, and the site has since slipped away into obscurity.

Where to find:

Maryland's one Showy Lady's Slipper population was found in a sphagnum seep.
