Eyelash Cup Scutellinia scutellata (Linnaeus) Lambotte  

Status:

Generally found in groups on well-rotted wood, usually in humid locations.

Description:

Fruiting body: Up to about 0.5"; shallow cup without a stem; margin ringed with long dark hairs. Fertile (top) surface scarlet to bright orange, smooth; sterile (lower) surface pale orange to brownish covered with scattered short, dark hairs. (J. Solem, pers. comm.)
