Description:

Found in sandy soil under hardwoods. Cap 1-2", broadly conic with darker umbo, scaly, orange/brown. Gills brown, attached, finely serrated with white edges. Stalk light color w/ scales/elongated fibers. Spore print brown. Spores ellipsoid, smooth, pale brown 9.2-10.9 x 4.8-5.2 microns. Similar to I. lacera but spores are too small. (J.
