Description:

Cap blueish-gray w/ dense covering of matted white hairs w/ gelatinous, dark, blunt spines; rubbery. Gills white to gray-white. Lateral attachment. Spore print white. Pleurocystidia lanceolate; 70 x 11.5 microns. Spores ellipsoid, smooth, hyaline; 6.8-8.0 x 4.9-5.5 microns.

On dead hardwood logs.
