Description:

Cap: Rusty-brown; striated; conic with small prominent umbo; hygrophanous. Gills: Light brown becoming cinnamon-brown. Stalk: Light brown near cap becoming darker toward base; scurfy; bulbous base. Small white ring well down the stalk, grooved above (J. Solem, pers. comm.).

Where to find:

Singles or small groups on decayed hardwood logs.
