"Causes numerous saucer-shaped galls on the underside of white oak (Quercus alba) leaves, 0.6-1.6 mm in diameter, which drop in the early fall leaving a scar on the gall and a brown spot on the leaf." (Lewis Weld, Cynipid Galls of the Eastern United States, 1959)
