Status:

In Maryland the rare Salad Violet is only found in a few populations in Worcester County. It is restricted to bottomland forests along the fresh flowing Pocomoke River. The Maryland populations of Salad Violet represent a northern range expansion for this mostly southern occurring violet species (MD DNR, 2017).
