"This is actually an undescribed species, found on hackberry in the eastern states. It was recorded as C. laenata (a tropical species) but the morphology says this is wrong. I hadn't bothered to describe it as new, but now we have a nice pair of photos, maybe the time has come to do so (Andy Hamilton/BugGuide)." It will likely be called C. celtidis (Celtis is the genus of hackberry) (BugGuide, 2014).
There are 2 records in the project database.
